The MRI results

The results are in. Emma's head scan was all clear! Praise God! We are so thankful for this news. They did find three lesions on her left foot though. They would like to do surgery to remove these soon. We are just waiting on all the right paperwork with our medicaid to do it. They will do a frozen biopsy while she is under, and depending on the results they may send her to the U of M for a full body scan, to see if there is any other masses.
Please keep our little in your prayers. We will keep you updated when we learn more.
Fishy kiss.

I love these guys!!!

Addie's First Birthday!

As promised, I am posting some pictures of Adelaide's first birthday, and party. She turned one on Wednesday and we had a little family celebration on Saturday.
Here is the cake I made for her party. She loves kitties.

Here we are opening a gift from Uncle Ben and Aunt Emily! :)

Addie's favorite part...the stuffing.

Trying to get a pic of Addie in her new outfit from Em and Ben.

There we go! That one's better. :)

At the party Addie got her own dairy and egg free cupcake!

I love this face!

I think she liked wearing the frosting more than eating it.

Addie loved opening gifts.

My baby girl is ONE!

I can hardly believe it, but Addie is a year old today! It doesn't feel like it has been that long. Addie is the most wonderful baby, and we are so blessed. This past year has been the best of my life. I am so happy with my three beautiful girls!
We are having a little shindig for her birthday on Saturday, so I will post more pictures after that. For now, I'd like you to see a very quick glimpse of Addie over the last year. :)
The day our sweet Adelaide Marie entered the world! A couple of minutes old!

A cute smile! Here she is at 3 months old.

Taking her first bites of food at 6 months. This is before we found out about all her allergies, so mealtime was not a pleasant one.

Here she is at 9 months, getting a ride in the stroller at an apple orchard.

Here is my FAVORITE picture of Addie to date. She is 11 months here.

MRI update

Thank you all who were praying for Emma. She had her MRI today. They sedated her, and gave her a breathing tube. She is home now, and resting, with a sore throat, but that's all. :)

We did not get any info, so we are thinking that no news is good news! We will let you know when we have some follow up appointments, but nothing was big enough to keep us there tonight.

Thank you SO much for all your prayers, phone calls, words of encouragement and love! We really felt it. :)

Can't I get a smile from anyone?

I just thought these pictures were funny. I got my camera out, but no one wanted to cooperate. Oh, well. At least I got these funny ones. :)

Emma's 5th Birthday bash!

We had a little party for Emma's fifth birthday last Friday. We had it a little later, since the week of her birthday was filled with Doctor's appointments.
It was a nice time to hang out with family and friends. Each one of them play such an important part in our lives, and in turn, Emma's. We are so thankful for each and every one of them...who are all coming out for Addie's first birthday bash next week, right? :)
Grandma helping Emma into her new princess dress that she made for her.

After a soup supper, we all had some birthday cake!

A cute picture of Auntie Sarah and cousin Livvie.

Camera Shy?

Not this little girl!
OH! Are you taking a picture of me?

I can give you my toothy grin!

You work that camera great, Mama! Let me give you a hand. :)

Guess what arrived today?

Emma's glasses! We let her pick them out, since she would be the one wearing them all the time. I think she picked well.
Just to update you all on what we know, Emma has an MRI scheduled for January 21st. We are praying this will bring some answers to why her eye is crossing.
On another strange twist...she has to have an MRI done on her foot as well! The Doctor we visited yesterday was puzzled about some lumps on Emma's left foot, and after an x-ray didn't give any answers, they would like to get a better look at it. We are in the process of trying to get them both done at the same time. I'll keep you posted as I learn more. Thank you all so much for your prayers!
Emma is not excited at all about her new glasses...yeah, right!

All that remains...

In my last post you saw our dear snowmen made on Saturday. By Monday afternoon all that was left was the nose! No snow! 61 degrees will melt the snow in quite a hurry. Don't worry though...it's back in the 30's again. Hopefully we will get some more snow soon! :)

Fun in the snow!

Saturday was so much fun! After breakfast we all bundled up to go play in the yard. It was getting a little warmer out, and we wanted to enjoy the snow while it was still here. :)
Josie was on daddy's team for the snowball fight! Watch out!

Emma and I got pummeled!

Addie trying to figure out this snow stuff.

Her snow suit is WAY too small. Look at her ears popping out!

Here are our cool snowmen that welcomed the neighbors as they pull up the alley. The girls loved building them!

"I'm a whole hand old!"

That statement sums it up perfectly! Our Emma turned FIVE yesterday! It is so hard for me to believe she is that old.
We had a simple celebration at home with Uncle Ben and Aunt Emily. We are going to have the rest of the family over next week for an official party. We had such a great time with Emily and Ben. They flew back to Texas today, and will be missed very much! Love you guys!

Wow! This baby is the size of Addie!

Make a wish!

I love Emma's face in this picture! Ha!

Emma's eye update

Today was the appointment for Emma at the U of M's Kellogg eye center. They told us that Emma has an astigmatism and is slightly far sighted. So, our little girl is going to get glasses! They also said that her right eye turning inward is most likely not caused by the far sightedness because it is so slight. They are scheduling an MRI, but I do not have a date for that. Thank you for keeping her in your prayers!
I wanted to post these pictures of Emma and Josie. The first one was last year and the second one was from this year. I cannot believe Josie could fit in the same jammies! Man, have they grown in one year, or what?!?!

Welcome 2008!

This year we decided to stay in for New Year's eve. It is hard to find a babysitter that night, and the girls are still too little to stay up that late, so we decided to party at home! We had David and Kristi and Brad and Rachel come over for a very casual night of movies and games. We had pizza and appetizers, and just had a great time. Our friend Clint even came by after the ball dropped. When the party was coming to an end, we were glad we had stayed home. We had a huge snow storm! We got seven inches of heavy, wet snow! Here are a couple of pictures from the night.
Kristi and David looking festive.

Rachel and Brad do too!

That's right! We all wore 2008 glasses David and Kristi made! :)

Stay Christmas...

We had a great time celebrating Christmas with family and friends. Here are some shots, in no particular order, of Christmas eve, Christmas, and the days following.
Mom playing Christmas carols.

Addie sportin' her new cowgirl had from Uncle Ben and Aunt Emily.

Josie and Emma totally wiped out. They fell asleep with 16 other people in the room. :)

My favorite gift on Christmas morning...my wonderful family!
